Harrier reports his spinnaker sock getting stuck at the masthead...but there's plenty of time to fix it tomorrow (one's sense of time does change during a trip like this...). Solitaire and Color Blind both report close encounters with their booms - but nothing serious in either case. Weather is an esy 10-15 kts of wind, 18 in the squalls...and so far not much sun in paradise....
I talked to Steve Fosset this afternoon - in addition to setting a new elapsed time record, he also had a really good time. His main frustrations were with gear failures - he had a big gennaker blow up on him in addition to some other sail damage, and his hi-tech antenna system didn't behave all that well. But the sailing was good, and now he's off to the mainland for some more sailing - he's set to do a couple of Great Lakes races in the next two weeks....
